CELEBRATING THE HISTORY, CULTURE & NATURAL ENVIRONMENT OF THE GREAT STATE OF FLORIDA

Finding Florida's Roots in today's
ever-changing landscape...

Today, remnants of Old Florida are becoming extinct with an overwhelming population growth and over-development. She is as endangered as the manatee, but can still be found if you know where to look. Old Florida is a cultural identity and landscape that has been shaped by a diverse group of people for hundreds of years and should be preserved for many generations to come. I am on a quest to find Old Florida in today’s ever-changing landscape. Follow along as I highlight current people, places, cultures, and landscapes that epitomize Old Florida today.
